Here is a really great short that talks about the marketing/advertising process. It's pretty great, especially if you are in advertising or have worked with it at one point in time. For those of you that haven't, well, this is pretty close to what it can actually be like sometimes. It may be one of those things that only the VC/Photo folks can really relate to, but hopefully others can get a laugh out of it anyways.
Also, here is another great little website I came across a couple of weeks ago but forgot to post then. It is an advertising blog (surprise surprise) with a really jaded advertising cynic writing on a variety of ads and commercial creative outlets. Some great reading if you're into that kind of stuff.

Wow. That was a great depiction of the advertising realm. Haha.

I love this video. Oh, the countless meetings I have been in where the sub-context is sooooooooooooo thick you can cut it with a knife.
Isn't visual culture a ripe playground for sub-context where all things have dual meanings from multiple points of view? It is enough to drive someone crazy.
That little video is interesting, informative and funny. It can also remind us of the many things which are usually invisible to vision...like the way people truly feel inside. Usually, in business or public environments, we filter our actions through a preconceived idea of acceptable behaviour. Vision can be misleading on many levels. The business people here are working behind their own little façades.
In our society, there is obvious connection between vision and behaviour. These thoughts are also explored in the chapter on Panopticism.
Poker is also a game where disguising your emotions can increase your chances of success.
